Raoul & Natalie Rock Out at The Showroom
So, finally got round to posting my snapshots of this seriously impressive gig which took place in September, at the snazzy Prince Albert Showroom Theatre. An intimate and world-class venue at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains. Well worth the visit!
Natalie Chapman was up first and what a perfect intro to the show with her singer-songwriter tunes - spoiling us with some of her new works which were all well received - getting things off to an awesome start♪♫
Next up, Raoul & Black Friday literally blew my mind as my ears and heart begged for more of their rock, jazz, and bluesy vibes. And just when I thought it couldn't get any better we were all treated to some insane Hendrix tunes played with a Black Friday flavour - guitar behind the back, insane shredding, amazing vocals and more. Not quite what I was expecting for a night out in the Karoo, but oh so awesome. The just got better and better with each song and I will be honest... I was pretty sad when it was all over.
A styled friends portrait session on the Bloubergstrand shoreline, which started out windy and epic - transitioning into amazing light and an open field bursting with beautiful textures and a massive dose of neo-wanderlust magic.

It was really hot and sunny but really great to be enjoying the summer sun in such a lovely setting. Lunch was held at Brenaissance Wine & Stud Estate in the Devon Valley, right outside Stellenbosch.
A subtle Golden Hour quickly turned to Blue as the day itself came to a slow and relaxed end in one of the best locations in Cape Town - Noordhoek Beach.
Now that you have a digital camera or two in your pockets, and with a good DSLR is available at an affordable rate these days, digital photography is everywhere and available to so many people - more than ever before - and it pays to know the basics if you want your snaps to stand out from the crowd.
Heard of Noir ? Think Sin City, high-contrast, deep shadows, moody vibes, and a solid dashing of vibrant red lipstick. That’s what my latest shoot was all about. A cinematic yet modern attempt at neo-noir portraiture.
Watching the sunset on any beach in and around Cape Town is always a treat. And a sunset with Table Mountain as a backdrop? Even better!
This is the 1st part of the 2-hour portrait session with Hanni - tucked away below Cape Town’s Lion’s Head and Signal Hill in a little green gem called Glen Forest.
A change of wardrobe before our hunt for some beautiful bokeh portrait shots. This was the 2nd part of a complete portrait session (3 parts total) with Hanni in Glen Forest, Cape Town.
